Privacy Policy

This page says what personal data Acer Academy collects when you book a trial or message us, why we collect it, and how you can ask to see it or correct it. It is written for parents, under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

What we collect

The booking form on this website, and WhatsApp when you message us there, are where we collect:

• Your name, as the parent
• Your child's name
• Your phone number
• Your email address
• The level you choose
• The subject you choose
• The centre you choose
• The messages you send us

On the form, your child's name and the subject can be left blank. On WhatsApp, the messages are the chat itself.

Why we collect it

We use these details to arrange a trial, to arrange lessons, to handle billing, and to reply to your enquiry.

Marketing

We only send marketing messages if you have agreed to receive them. Every marketing message includes a way to opt out.

Who handles it for us

These organisations process the data for us, for that work:

• A payment provider, when a fee is taken for a trial or for lessons
• An email provider, so we can send and receive email about a booking or an enquiry
• WhatsApp, which is provided by Meta, when you message us there
• An AI service that helps draft replies to messages you send us

Photographs

We sometimes photograph a student, or share a first name, a school or a result, in our publicity. We only do that with a parent's or guardian's consent. You can take that consent back at any time by emailing us, and we will remove it from this website and from future marketing.

Card numbers

You can pay a trial fee online when you book, or at the centre. If you pay by card, either way, the card number, expiry date and security code are entered with the payment provider, not on this website. We do not see them, and we do not store them.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses two tools from our host, Vercel: Web Analytics and Speed Insights. Neither uses a cookie to recognise you.

Web Analytics counts page views and events, such as a button click or a booking started. A record can include the time, the page address, the site that linked you here, query details on that address, an approximate location, the kind of device, the operating system and the browser. Vercel identifies a visit with a hash made from the request, keeps that hash for about a day, then discards it. The hash is not used to follow you across websites or from one day to the next, and the record is not tied to your name, email, phone number or IP address. An event can include the level, subject or centre. It does not include your name, email or phone number.

Speed Insights measures how fast a page loads. A record can include the page, the browser, the device and operating system, the country, the connection speed, the performance figure, and which part of the page it relates to. It is not tied to you or to your IP address, and it is not used to rebuild your path from page to page.

How long we keep it

We keep a booking or a WhatsApp conversation while we are arranging a trial, running lessons, dealing with a payment, or replying to you. When we no longer need it for those reasons, we delete it.

A fixed number of months or years has not been set yet. That period will be written here after this draft is reviewed, before the policy is treated as final.

Asking to see your data, or to correct it

You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete. Email the data protection contact below. Say whether you want a copy, a correction, or both, and include the phone number or email you used when you booked or messaged us, so we can find the right record.
