English Tuition in Singapore

Two English programmes, one for PSLE and one for Secondary 1 to 4. Classes run with a maximum of one teacher to every eight students, and the teacher works with students individually through the lesson rather than moving the room through one worksheet at one speed.

Which exam does your child sit?

This concerns the Secondary 3–4 track — PSLE English is unaffected. The answer depends on one thing: the year your child entered Secondary 1.

GCE O-Level2026

English Language, syllabus 1184. A student now in Secondary 4 sits it in 2026.

Entered Secondary 1 in 2023 or earlier

English Language at G3. The first cohort is in Secondary 3 now and sits it in 2027.
